Great game

I got it back at the begging and still waiting for the next update

Feature Requests!!!

This thing is dope. Wipeout for IOS. Totally worth the price of admission. Requests: •iCade / Bluetooth controller support •Survival Mode (see how many laps you can do before crashing/getting wiped out by AI Goons) •Race Mode for first two episodes •Did I mention iCade support? That would be AWESOME.

Cant believe this is on my phone

A full rich 3D racer game with tons to offer. Fluid controls, elegant interface. Its like a full PS3 game on my phone. I loved the Wipeout series but some of the last ones were hard to play, this game is actually better than most of the Wipeout titles. Bravo good sirs, bravo.

WOW

I agree with the reviews that compare this game to F-Zero. The tracks are really tricky, the vehicles are great-looking, and the speed is bloody insane. Serious thrills!

The best iOS game, bar none.

Repulse stands up to the actual Wipeout games it pays homage to. The gameplay is actually rewarding and not tedious, and the 60fps gameplay stands apart from most others. Great work! WE WANT MORE!

So epic!!

This game is a absolute gem! I first got it because it looked a bit like the game Blur for consoles, and as it turns out, its actually BETTER. This game is EASILY the fastest paced and intense racing game Ive played period! The unique boost and weapon system is very cool too! Though it can get a little grinder getting upgrade points near the end, it is balanced really well. Also, all in app purchases are optional and can be earned in game except the gold paint which just gives you double XP! Overall I would recommend this to anyone, there are a TON of levels in this, just as much as a 30-60 dollar console game like Blur! Also, the graphics are incredible!! They are of the same fidelity as infinity blade and other extremely high quality games, and are actually dang close to what consoles can do, with the programming wizards at Pixelbite managing to make sure theres NO LAG, even on an iPhone 4! Overall, easy 5/5, and the best $3 you can spend in the App Store!!

Update for ios 7 and 5s 64 bit

5s update update update! Please

Worth every penny!

The new game mechanics are perfect. The game is fluid and fun. The constant developer support makes this game wonderful.

Unused Potential

This game has so much potential but it goes to waste. Once you master it and unlock whatever youre satisfied with, you cant play online. Im very disappointed I paid for a game that looks like a hardcore multiplayer but it turns out its basically a bunch of time attacks and weak single player racing.

..............

Though the game would be fun but its pretty lame

Nice

Its a great Wipeout clone. Wish it had more craft. Most of them look the same or boring. Music doesnt have much variety, but is well composed and catchy.

Worth it

Excellent racing game. Fast paced, neat ships, pretty environments, plus many control options. Music is surprisingly catchy, and while IAP are offered, there is absolutely NO need for them :D (Note: the game is not very easy. If you cant control the ship very well, check your sensitivity and control options. The fault is not with the game.)

Repulze

Amazing game. Severely under rated racing game. If you dont have it, buy it. Phase 3 is really, really fun.

Ideas

It needs more work and then itd become better than need for speed.

WipEout

Edit: Game went downhill with subsequent updates adding micro-transactions. Its also unfortunate that vehicles are for the most part direct upgrades and not sidegrades so there is little point in trying out different ships (just use the one with the best stats) unlike WipEout. Lastly it would have been much better if you could choose pure time trial or race on each track. I could look past all this however if not for the retroactive microtransactions. I was going to buy pixelbites newest game but now Im worried about shady retroactive microtransactions =/ Edit: haha, just looked at some of the other reviews. The controls took me one race to get used to. Its YOU, not the controls. Probably not wipeout or fzero fans. I do think a lower speed class should be added for people like you guys who are new to the genre and need a more gradual difficulty curve. ------------------------ This is precisely how the time trial portion of WipEout on iOS should be done. Well worth the $1 (worth more than that actually). A cautionary note, there is only one speed difficulty so if you dont think you can handle high speed racing, dont bother with this. It wont be fun for you. Updates are planned and hopefully the game is expanded to include races and other modes, but for now the $1 is still excellent value for what is here. If race mode and more is added this app would be well worth $5-$10 if the quality is as good.

Its... "ok"

The graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is well orchestrated and the offered gameplay is smooth and solid. I say offered gameplay, because I was hoping for something more involved. Im not a huge fan of racers where you dont really control much other than turning. I would have liked to have had a more engrossing experience akin to say "Wipeout" or "Extreme G". Unfortunately, the racer goes, you either avoid or hit a green or red polarity field, and do your best not to bounce off of walls. There seems to be little challenge other that not bouncing off of walls, and hitting these polarity fields. You cant fly off the grid, you dont seem to blow up or take damage... you just go and accomplish tasks. Would like to be able to control my racer, as well as have a bit more involved racing. Otherwise, its kinda boring.

Repulze Rocks

Repulze reminds me of the Nintendo game, "F-Zero". Its a fast paced racing game except youre not racing other players, and the developers of this game (Pixelbite), make some other great games as well. In Repulze you are tasked with piloting your hovercraft through red and green gates, gaining speed bonuses for hitting the right gates and being penalized by losing momentum when you hit the wrong gate. Graphics are amazing, but that alone doesnt make a great game. Repulze also combines excellent controls with a smooth frame rate. There are 3 phases of the game to play giving you plenty of content. If youre looking for a sleek, futuristic racing game, Repulze is it. There are no IAPs in this game. It does offer 1 hovercraft for sale in the shop for $4.99, if your inclined to spend some money.

Why u no on Apple TV?

This game needs to be on Apple TV.

WAHOO! An update!

A lot like racing down deep canal ditches in my old MagBounce 7 back home. But a lot safer, of course.

Repulze

When this was first released, I absolutely loved the way it was presented. A time trial racing game with some incredible track designs, mechanics, graphics, and very tight controls. It was all about learning the tracks and besting your own, and your friends, times, while unlocking new vehicles and upgrades. Now, after multiple updates, the game is truley a gem. The first phase was the original base game. While they always said more content was coming, with the AppStore, that doesnt always happen. The second phase added more mechanics and the third added enemies and weapons, all while keeping the core beat the fastest time drive behind it all. While some may have wanted another Wipeout clone but I was very happy that they stuck with the trails type gameplay. Repulze very quickly became (and has stayed) my favorite racer in the AppStore, trials or not, Id choose it over NFS, over Sonic, over any Asphalt title, Real Racing, CSR... IMO, it is absolutely in the conversation for best of the best racing game on the iOS. Pixelbite is almost always awesome, but they made a real gem here.
